Uploading Proof with GPS Verification
Submitting proof is the most critical step in completing a favor. Your photos and videos serve as verifiable evidence that the task was completed at the right location and time. This guide explains everything you need to know about capturing, uploading, and passing the verification process.
What Counts as Proof
Proof consists of photos and videos taken at the task location using your smartphone camera through the Haceme el Favor app. The app automatically embeds GPS coordinates and a timestamp into every capture.
Types of Proof
- Task completion photos — Show the completed task: the purchased item, the delivered document, the paid bill with receipt, etc.
- Location photos — Capture the storefront, address sign, building facade, or other identifying markers of the location.
- Receipt/ticket photos — If the favor involves a purchase or payment, photograph the receipt or ticket as additional verification.
- Video evidence — For complex tasks, a short video walkthrough provides stronger proof than photos alone.
The Proof Capture and Verification Flow
Requirements Before Capturing
Before taking any proof photos or videos, make sure the following are enabled on your device:
- Camera permissions — The Haceme el Favor app must have access to your camera.
- Location permissions — GPS/location services must be enabled and allowed for the app.
- High accuracy mode — Enable "High Accuracy" or "Precise" location mode in your device settings for the most accurate GPS data.
- Stable GPS signal — Wait a few seconds after opening the camera for the GPS to lock onto your position before capturing.
Best Practices for Quality Proof
- Enable GPS before opening the camera — Make sure location services are active on your device before you start taking photos. This ensures accurate coordinates from the first capture.
- Take photos in good lighting — Natural daylight produces the best results. If indoors, make sure there is adequate lighting. Avoid backlighting (light source behind the subject).
- Include identifying landmarks — Capture street signs, business names, address numbers, or other recognizable features that confirm the location.
- Take 3-5 photos minimum — Multiple angles and perspectives provide stronger evidence. Include wide shots for context and close-ups for detail.
- Record a short video for complex tasks — A 15-30 second video walkthrough adds significant credibility, especially for tasks that involve multiple steps or locations.
What NOT to Do
- Do not use old photos — All proof must be captured fresh during the active favor. The system detects reused or pre-existing photos.
- Do not disable GPS — Proof without GPS coordinates is automatically rejected. There are no exceptions.
- Do not edit photo metadata — Tampering with EXIF data (GPS coordinates, timestamps) is detected by the AI system and results in immediate flagging.
- Do not use screenshots — Screenshots of photos are not valid proof. Only original captures through the app are accepted.
- Do not use photos from another device — Proof must be captured on the same device running the app.
AI Verification Details
After you upload your proof, the AI verification system analyzes it across four dimensions:
- Relevance — Does the photo/video content match the task description? (e.g., if the task was to buy medicine, does the photo show medicine?)
- Completeness — Does the evidence show the full task was completed? Multiple photos covering different aspects score higher.
- GPS accuracy — How close are the GPS coordinates to the favor's target location? Within 100 meters is ideal; beyond 500 meters triggers a flag.
- Confidence score — A combined score from 0-100% representing the overall verification result. Scores above 70% are automatically approved; below 70% requires manual review.
