Nearby Deals and Discounts
Discover deals and discounts happening right now near your location. The Nearby Deals feature uses your GPS to surface active promotions from stores, restaurants, pharmacies, and other businesses around you — complete with distance, discount details, and community upvotes.
Location-Based Discovery. Deals are shown sorted by distance from your current location. You see what is close first, so you never miss a deal just around the corner.
How It Works
Types of Discounts
- Percentage off — e.g., 30% OFF on selected items
- Fixed discount — e.g., C$50 OFF your purchase
- 2x1 (BOGO) — Buy one, get one free
- Free gift — Get a free item with purchase
- Special price — Limited-time promotional price
Finding Deals
- Open the Deals section and allow location access.
- Browse deals sorted by distance. The default radius is 1 km, adjustable up to 5 km.
- Filter by store category (restaurants, pharmacies, electronics, etc.).
- Tap a deal to see full details, photos, original vs. deal price, and the store location.
Community Interaction
- Upvote — Confirm a deal is legit by upvoting. High-upvote deals are the most trusted.
- Comment — Share your experience: "Great deal, just went and it's real!" Comments help others decide.
- Report a deal — Spotted a deal yourself? Submit it to help the community. You can report up to 10 deals per day.
Geofence Notifications
When you walk or drive near a store with an active deal, you may receive a push notification alerting you. Each deal has a configurable geofence radius (20–500 meters). The system tracks notifications to avoid sending you the same alert twice in 24 hours.
Deals have start and end dates. Only active deals within their valid date range appear in search results. Expired deals are automatically hidden.
